Brian Petruska - Founder
Before founding The Petrus Group in 2005, Brian Petruska graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Bachelor of Science. Upon graduation, he joined Smithy Braedon, then the nation’s largest regional commercial real estate company, where he specialized in landlord and tenant representation, property management and development. Twelve years later, he joined Trammell Crow, one of the United States largest development firms, where he worked in all aspects of leasing and sales as Senior Vice President. Mr. Petruska has completed over 3 million square feet of leasing and over 2 million square feet of sales in the Washington Metropolitan Market.

Par Ishaq
Mr. Ishaq has more than 30 years experience in the commercial real estate venue working with banks, developers, construction managers, architects and general contractors. His extensive entrepreneurial experience which began as Founder and Owner of one of the regions largest commercial flooring contracting companies led to its acquisition by a multinational company in 1996. Mr. Ishaq’s other notable ventures include the development of the Bank of Northern Virginia, where he served on the Advisory Board, as well as Med Surg Industries, a medical supplier to hospitals nationwide on whose board he served for over 20 years until it was acquired in 1994. Mr. Ishaq is also a major investor in commercial office, industrial flex as well as multifamily properties in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Bill Flickinger
Mr. Flickinger has more than 30 years experience in the field of construction and land development. From land acquisition and land development to design and construction management, he has worked effectively with engineers, developers, bankers, subcontractors, inspectors, designers, real estate agent and home buyers in the construction of more than 300 residential projects. With a degree in Architecture from Virginia Tech., Bill combines his architectural experience with a thorough knowledge of design and construction to evaluate a site’s physical strength and weaknesses and the possibilities and opportunities for its enhancement. As Founder and President of Santa Fe Development since 1975, he presently serves on the Board of Director’s of Fairfax County Schools Foundation for Applied Technical Education and is a Member of the Northern Virginia Building Association and the Custom Builder’s Council.

Charles R. Cope - SCSM/SCLS
Mr. Cope has more than 25 years experience in the field of commercial real estate. As sole principal of Cope Consulting of Virginia for the past 8 years, he has provided a full range of commercial real estate consulting services including site evaluations, acquisition, development, inspections, leasing, facility management, and dispositions of land, retail and office properties. His expertise includes other areas critical to successful projects such as community support building, re-development planning, implementation and construction coordination. Mr. Cope has worked on such notable projects as Tyson’s Corner Center, a 2.3 million square foot enclosed shopping center Mall and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers as a Senior Certified Shopping Center Manager and a Senior Certified Leasing Specialist.

Raffy S. Ekhsigian - Executive Advisor
For over 15 years, Mr. Ekhsigian has demonstrated expertise in capital raising, financial modeling, strategic planning, investor relations and business development. As Senior Vice President of Finance for a real estate development and investment firm overseeing a $400 million portfolio consisting of commercial office buildings, hotels and residential developments throughout the East Coast region, he has responsibility over accounting, HR and insurance development, asset management and joint ventures. Prior to that, Mr. Ekhsigian held various executive positions in the technology industry responsible for all aspects of its financial and strategic planning including the negotiation of institutional debt and equity financing. As a founder and Associate of NextGen Capital, he helped raise $30M for two venture funds, evaluated technology business opportunities and participated on portfolio boards. Mr. Ekhsigian began his career in real estate as an leasing agent and property manager and was eventually promoted to Vice President of Sales and Finance for a regional developer. Mr. Ekhsigian has a Masters in Business Administration with a Finance concentration from George Mason University, and a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Whittier College. He is an honorary member of Omicron Delta Epsilon economics society, and a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Sales Training Institute.
