Brian Petruska - Founder
Before founding The Petrus Group in 2005, Brian Petruska graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Bachelor of Science. Upon graduation, he joined Smithy Braedon, then the nation’s largest regional commercial real estate company, where he specialized in landlord and tenant representation, property management and development. Twelve years later, he joined Trammell Crow, one of the United States largest development firms, where he worked in all aspects of leasing and sales as Senior Vice President. Mr. Petruska has completed over 3 million square feet of leasing and over 2 million square feet of sales in the Washington Metropolitan Market.

Par Ishaq
Mr. Ishaq has more than 30 years experience in the commercial real estate venue working with banks, developers, construction managers, architects and general contractors. His extensive entrepreneurial experience which began as Founder and Owner of one of the regions largest commercial flooring contracting companies led to its acquisition by a multinational company in 1996. Mr. Ishaq’s other notable ventures include the development of the Bank of Northern Virginia, where he served on the Advisory Board, as well as Med Surg Industries, a medical supplier to hospitals nationwide on whose board he served for over 20 years until it was acquired in 1994. Mr. Ishaq is also a major investor in commercial office, industrial flex as well as multifamily properties in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Toufic Baaklini - Finance
Mr. Baaklini has over 25 years experience in commercial business development and finance. He is a business consultant who has advised and represented investors in commercial real estate business transactions, due diligence and legal negotiations. Most recently, he has worked with banks and lenders with distressed properties to mediate with new investors. He also has extensive experience working with banks and lenders for financial structuring and commercial loans. Prior to that, Mr. Baaklini worked in sales management and business development in the retail and automotive industry, both in the US and internationally.
